Levan Varshalomidze Congratulates on new year to homeless children
The children of Batumi orphanages traditionally have been congratulated on New Year by the Chairman of Ajara AR Government, Levan Varshalomidze and the Mayor of Batumi, Robert Chkhaidze today.
Government and Municipal officials brought sweets, toys and household appliances to the children of Makhinjauri and Urekhi homeless children’s houses. Children had fun attending performance of moving theatre “Berikebi”.
"We started visiting children’s houses on New Year 8 years ago and still keep this tradition sharing New Year’s joy together with them. These children need special attention and warmth and we try our best to support them. Rehabilitation process of both houses is to be completed in three months and children will have better conditions to live”, said Levan Varshalomidze.
The Chairman and the Mayor of Batumi also visited socially excluded families. The 7-member family, living on 35 Bagrationi Street has received Christmas gifts from them.
